I'm playing football since 1980, when I watched Germany becoming European Champion on TV. During those days I started to train with my brother in the garden. The following 16 years I frequently played streets football with friends, just for fun. When I finally decided to join a club from the lowest local league, I was already 28 years old.

History:

• 1997-2001: HSV Borussia Friedenstal II
• 2001-2005: SG 08 Falkendiek II

Both clubs played in the Kreisliga C of Herford, and we were well-known for finishing the season as the worst team. :-)

By far the biggest and most important part of my football activities is playing with friends just for fun. Most of them were spread over all the country while studying and getting their jobs. But we have one tradition: At Christmas everybody returns to Herford and we play football on the 24th of December, ignoring any weather condition like ice, rain or snow.
